Puppy Foundation Program Overview
Our Puppy Foundation Program is a 3-week training experience, split into two separate stays to align with your puppy’s key developmental stages.
🐾First Stay: 2 Weeks (Ages 8–10 Weeks)
The first stay is ideally scheduled when your puppy is 8 to 10 weeks old, coming straight from the breeder. However, if your puppy has already been home for a week and you're realizing you need a bit more support, we also accept puppies up to 11 weeks old.
During this stay, we begin building the foundation with our 30 & 3 Program, which focuses on:
Potty training with a designated potty area
Crate training for both day and overnight routines
Socialization and confidence-building
🐾Second Stay: 1 Week (Around 16 Weeks Old)
Your puppy returns at around 16 weeks (4 months) for a one-week refresher and next-level training. During this visit, we introduce:
The prong collar for safe, manageable walks
Basic obedience commands: “sit” and “down”
The elevated dog bed as a new training tool
Reinforcement of the potty and crate habits we initially taught
This second stay helps solidify your pup’s training and gives you the tools to enjoy life with them through their final puppy months—before they return for our 3-Week Stay & Train program at 6 months old.
This program is perfect for owners who want our trainers to establish a solid foundation in potty training and kennel training using our proven 30 & 3 Program. It’s also designed for those who feel unsure or overwhelmed in the early days—especially when it comes to leaving a crying puppy in the kennel during nap time or overnight. We get it — it's hard! That’s exactly why we’re here: to handle the tough parts so you can enjoy the journey.
Before your puppy comes home from their initial two-week stay with us, you’ll receive a few helpful emails. One will include the at-home puppy program to continue their progress, and the other will have recommended products and resources to support you on your puppy-raising journey. You’ll also receive a brand-new slip lead to use at home.
And the support doesn’t stop there — you'll have unlimited access to our team. Whether it’s a call, text, or FaceTime, we’re here to answer your questions anytime. No question is too small — we’re here to help. Plus, we’ll visit you monthly to check in and support your progress in person.
A perk our clients love: To help you save money, we offer a kennel lending service as your puppy grows. We'll provide appropriately sized kennels along the way until we know their full-grown size.
When your pup checks in for their 3-Week Stay & Train at 6 months, we’ll assess their growth and let you know exactly what size kennel to purchase — all while they’re with us!
Your puppy is always welcome back for boarding whenever you travel! This ensures your investment in training is protected, and we can maintain the routine and structure you’ve worked so hard to establish. Visit our Boarding Page to schedule their stay!

**This program must be paired with enrollment and a paid deposit for our 3-Week Stay & Train when your puppy turns 6 months old.

If you don’t need the initial 2-week Kennel and Potty Training program but have already scheduled and paid the deposit for our 3-Week Stay & Train (when your puppy turns 6 months old), you’ll still receive our 30 & 3 Program to follow at home. You also have the option to add our 1-Week Prong Collar Introduction, Obedience & Socialization Program for just $300. And because your deposit is on file for the full 3-Week Stay & Train, your puppy is still welcome back for boarding in the future!
